The Long Kiss Goodnight - 8/17/13

Every week, a group of Internet radio superstars known as the Saturday Night Freak Show (Brent, Tom, Colin, Travis and Sean) file into a subterranean screening room somewhere in Freakshow, IL where they witness sights & sounds undreamed of by mortal men. They emerge... changed, not quite the beings they once were. Good or bad, they will debate the merits of what they have just experienced for the entertainment of you, the listener, and the betterment of mankind.

This week, Brent targets The Long Kiss Goodnight (1996), in which Geena Davis stars as an amnesiac assassin who teams up with con-man/private eye Samuel Jackson to uncover her hidden identify.  Listen in and hear about vodka shots that roll off the chin; when movies break our suspension of disbelief; female action heroes; nepotism, or "casting your wife against type in the lead role in a summer action movie"; and analyze the career trajectories of writer Shane Black and director Renny Harlin.
