We take a return trip to hell with Hellbound: Hellraiser II (1988), the most requested movie of Listener Choice month, following first film survivor Kirsty as she rushes headfirst into the evil labyrinth in search of her dearly departed dad. Little does she know her wicked stepmother has been resurrected by an occultist brain surgeon. Great job internet superstars! I don’t like Hellraiser II as much as the first film but it’s still full of weird squishy moments. The unfortunate thing for me is the young actress who solves the puzzle box with Kirsty went on to other roles in film and TV but in the last few years has turned up in the UK press for the wrong reasons: court cases involving decidedly odd behaviour while drunk. I genuinely feel bad that this is how things have wound up for her.
